Anamelva Revoredo, B.Sc.,
D.Ch.
Chiropodist
Anamelva earned her B.Sc. from the University
of Toronto in 1991 with a specialist
degree in Human Physiology and a major
in Biochemistry. Graduated from the Chiropody
Program at The Michener Institute in
1996, obtaining the Omar Shearer Award
for excellence in Research and specializing
in the field of Biomechanics.
She has worked for the Toronto General
Hospital, The Doctors Hospital until
its amalgamation and The William Osler
Health Centre serving the Georgetown
site. Anamelva has been running the Chiropody
Clinic at the Toronto Western Hospital
for nearly ten years, where she has gained
a vast experience treating patients of
all ages as part of multidisciplinary
teams serving family medicine, seniors
wellness, artist health, diabetes, wound
and fall prevention clinics. She is also
involved in research, lecturing and clinical
instruction.
Anamelva is a member of
the Ontario Society of Chiropodists,
the Canadian Federation of Foot Specialists
and the Canadian Diabetes Association.
She has continuously served at the
College of Chiropodists of Ontario
in various
roles over the years as an exemplary
member of her profession, appointed
as a practice assessor for the quality
assurance
committee of her College and is collaborating
with the revision of the college’s
standards of practice. Anamelva brings
to this practice many years of experience
in the field of chiropody and interprofessional
collaborative care. She aims to help
her clients improve their foot health
by providing thorough foot assessments,
comprehensive treatment plans centered
on her clients particular needs and
evidence based foot care.
When away from her patients, Anamelva
enjoys the company of her husband and
children Maria, Richard, John and little
Maggie. She is also interested in carpentry,
sewing and Mindfulness meditation. She
can also communicate in Spanish, Portuguese
and Italian. |
